Built as a chunky block of compact bone, this osteon cross section shows several round osteons with concentric lamellae rippling outward like tree rings. Central Haversian canals hold small vessel tubes, and tiny lacunae pockets dot each ring where osteocytes live. The sides reveal branching canals and spongy texture running through the bone. It is an excellent teaching model for anatomy and histology classes, a study aid for medical students and a textured display piece for a science desk.
