A medieval siege trebuchet built from heavy squared timbers, ready to hurl stones at castle walls. Twin braced A-frames carry a thick axle drum where the long throwing arm pivots. At the short end, a plank-sided box counterweight hangs from the arm beside an iron release hook. At the far end, a rope sling cradles a round stone. Pegged joints and block feet anchor the rectangular base frame. It makes a strong centrepiece for a tabletop siege battle, a castle assault scene or a shelf of medieval war machines.
