A stocky Lystrosaurus plods forward on four sprawling legs, its beaked snout flanked by two downturned tusks. Deep wrinkles fold across the barrel body, heavy shoulders and thick neck, and each splayed foot ends in short, distinct claws. The head is low and the eye ridges are sharply carved, giving the face a weathered, watchful look. A short tapered tail finishes the heavyset profile. It makes a great shelf piece for fans of Permian survivors and a solid talking point for anyone teaching how life bounced back after the great extinction.
