Squat and powerful, this Moschops stands on thick, sprawling legs that splay out from a massive barrel body. The broad, domed skull is ridged with heavy brow folds, and creased skin wraps the shoulders, flanks and limbs in deep wrinkles. Each wide foot spreads short curved claws flat against the ground, giving a firmly planted stance. A blunt short tail rounds off the rear. Place it with other early synapsids on a prehistoric shelf, or bring it into a classroom lesson on life before the dinosaurs.
