Megacerops, an extinct brontothere, stands with its head lowered and its heavy barrel body planted on four stout legs. The forked bony knob on the nose, small pointed ears and deeply wrinkled hide across the neck and shoulders give it a weathered, ancient look, while a slim tail ends in a rough tuft. Every foot carries separate toes with sculpted creases, and folds of skin follow the legs and rump. It makes a strong centerpiece for a prehistoric shelf display, a collection of extinct mammals, or a tabletop game as a huge grazing beast roaming the plains.
