A steppe mammoth strides forward mid-step, its long curved tusks sweeping out ahead of a high domed head. The sculpt shows a shaggy hide with flowing strands of hair layered over the shoulders, flanks and legs, a lowered trunk hanging between the tusks, small ears, a sloping back and a short tufted tail. Heavy padded feet and a natural walking gait give it real weight. The woolly mammoth style figure stands without a base and suits an Ice Age diorama, a prehistoric display shelf or a classroom lesson on extinct animals.
