Wheeled siege battering ram under a steep gabled roof of overlapping wooden planks, built for tabletop sieges. A heavy ram log with a faceted, rock-like head hangs inside the timber frame, held by looped ropes and diagonal braces. Crossbeams are bound with rope collars and joined by small corner brackets. Four chunky plank wheels sit on pegged axles, and the underside shows a full beam frame beneath the roof. The sheltered ram works as a medieval siege engine for wargames, castle assault scenes and fantasy battlefield dioramas, and it also makes a handsome display piece.
