A V2 rocket rests on its Meillerwagen transport erector trailer, ready to roll toward a launch site. The banded rocket body tapers to a pointed warhead nose, while four swept tail fins frame the open engine nozzle at the rear. Below, the trailer shows a ladder-like lattice frame, cradle clamps around the fuselage, hydraulic erector arms, pipework and twin rear wheels behind two front axles. Detail runs right through the underside chassis. A striking centrepiece for a World War II tabletop battlefield, a military history shelf or a diorama of early rocketry.
