Stalking forward with its head held low, this hyaenodon sculpt captures an ancient carnivorous mammal mid-stride. The long skull ends in heavy jaws lined with bared fangs, while small rounded ears sit high on the head. Sinewy muscles ripple across the shoulders, flanks and haunches, and a long tapering tail trails behind the four clawed feet. The rough, textured skin adds a lifelike feel without any base getting in the way.
