Marrella is an early Cambrian arthropod shown with a crescent head shield and two long curved side spines. Four feathery antennae fan out above a raised oval head boss. The ribbed body tapers through many narrow segments to a single tail spike, while rows of fine branching gill legs line each side of the underside. The surface is clean and finely detailed throughout, and the piece rests flat without a base, so it sits well on a shelf. It suits a paleontology display, a classroom fossil collection or a prehistoric sea life table.
