A weathered section of a giant straight-shelled nautiloid, sculpted as a stone fossil with its chamber divisions clearly visible. The Cameroceras shell segment tapers gently along its length, and evenly spaced septa ring the cone like growth bands. Its surface is pitted and rough, as real fossil stone often is, and one broken end shows the eroded interior of the shell. It suits a paleontology lesson, a fossil collection shelf, or a prehistoric seabed display beside other ancient marine life.
