Tiktaalik is a prehistoric fishapod caught mid-crawl, with a flat crocodile-like head and eyes on top. A long scaly body ends in a tapering tail fin. Sturdy front lobe fins prop the body up while two smaller rear fins trail behind. Fine pebbled scale texture covers the back and sides, and the underside is smooth and solid. It suits a paleontology shelf, a classroom evolution display or a prehistoric diorama, and it makes a handy teaching piece for how limbs evolved.
