Cut open to reveal what sits inside, this lymphocyte model shows a large wrinkled nucleus filling most of the cell. A thin rim of cytoplasm holds a few small mitochondria and vesicles around it, while the outer surface bristles with knobby microvilli on every side. The cutaway window makes the classic big-nucleus look of this white blood cell easy to explain, so it fits well in a cell biology classroom, an immunology lesson or a science display shelf.
