A flower pistil cut open lengthwise to show where seeds begin. At the top, a lobed stigma caps a slender style that runs down into a teardrop-shaped ovary. The cutaway reveals a central placenta wall with six plump ovules attached on short stalks, three on each side, all framed by the smooth ovary wall. A short stem stub finishes the base.
