Mid-stride and nose forward, this screaming hairy armadillo sculpt captures the little burrower on the move. Its domed shell is built from tight overlapping bands, each edged with stiff bristly hair that gives the back a shaggy, spiky outline. A pointed snout with an open mouth, small upright ears, a scaled head shield and clawed feet add plenty of fine detail, while the long tapered tail trails behind. It stands without a base, ready for a natural history display shelf, a wildlife collection or a classroom lesson on South American animals.
