A lifelike wild rabbit sculpted in a low crouch, ears raised and alert as if listening for danger. Every part of the coat is carved with dense, layered fur strokes, from the thick ruff around the neck to the fluffy tail tucked behind the haunches. Long hind feet rest flat beside the folded forelegs, and the bright eye and twitching nose give it a watchful, natural expression. The European rabbit stands without a base, so it sits neatly on a display shelf, in a woodland diorama, or among other wildlife figures on a nature table.
