A First World War 77mm field gun rolls into position on a pair of tall spoked wooden wheels bound with riveted iron tyres. The crew shield is cut with a sight window and viewing port, while the short barrel sits on its recoil cradle above a long box trail fitted with handspikes, chains and a towing eye. Hand wheels, elevation gear and bolt heads are sculpted in crisp detail. It makes a fine artillery piece for historical wargaming tables and Great War dioramas, or for a display shelf beside other early twentieth century military models.
