Long and slender, this wartime U-boat submarine has a tall conning tower, a periscope mast and a railed bridge on top of the casing. Deck hatches, a gun platform, small fittings and a taut rope rail run along the narrow deck, while twin propellers and rudders sit at the stern. Ring-shaped fittings show under the bow. The hull is solid and carries fine surface detail along its whole length. It suits a naval wargame table, a maritime history display or a shelf of Second World War vessels.
