Long and low, this World War II aircraft carrier shows a full-length flight deck crowded with elevator outlines, deck markings and small fittings. A tall island with masts and antennas rises on the starboard side, and rows of sponsons line both edges of the hull. The underside is a solid, smooth keel ending in a propeller at the stern. Surface detail is slightly rough and busy, which gives it a lived-in naval look. It suits a naval wargame fleet, a museum-style display shelf or a history classroom, and anyone who wants a recognisable aircraft carrier for a collection of warships will find plenty to study.
