Red river hog sculpted mid-stride with its head lowered as if rooting along the ground. The solid body carries a ridge of crest hair along the spine, long tufted ears that sweep outward, a bristly cheek ruff, a whip tail ending in a tassel and cloven hooves on all four legs. Rough, wrinkled skin and clumped belly fur give the surface plenty of character. It would suit a display shelf, a wildlife collection or a classroom table where a detailed swine study is wanted.
