Head lowered to graze, this American bison bull carries a towering shoulder hump wrapped in a deep, curly mane. Thick ruffled fur covers the head, beard and forelegs, then gives way to a smoother hide over the hindquarters, and two short hooked horns curve up from the woolly skull. The heavy forward stance and split hooves read clearly from every angle.
