A rectum and anal canal cutaway opens the lower bowel lengthwise to reveal its curving inner wall and the folded anal columns near the bottom. Layered sphincter muscles wrap around the canal in fanned bands, and the pelvic floor muscles spread out on either side at the base. The cut edge shows the thickness of the bowel wall from top to bottom. Realistic and clearly sculpted, it serves as an anatomy teaching model for medical, nursing and health students or a reference piece for a clinic or classroom shelf.
