Caught mid-regrowth, this deer antler in velvet shows a fresh branched rack sprouting from its pedicle. The base ends in a knobby burr ring around a flat cut face, and the main beam sweeps up, its surface lined with raised veins and peeling velvet folds. Smooth rounded tines push out at the tip and partway along the beam, still soft-looking and blunt. A striking biology model for lessons on regeneration and bone growth, or a rustic piece for a hunting cabin or nature shelf.
