Enlarged and swollen, this lymphoma lymph node cross section shows how tumor tissue takes over a normal node. The cut face is packed edge to edge with dense, dimpled cell clusters divided by faint septa, with no normal follicles left, and the bulging capsule pushes out in rounded lobes. Hilum vessels exit to one side as a bundle of tubes, and open vessel ends sit around the rim. A useful pathology teaching piece for a biology or medical classroom.
