Civil War river ironclad gunboat with a sloped armored casemate, twin tall funnels and rows of gun ports along each side. A separate stern deck carries four slim chimneys, a railing and a flag on a staff. The weather deck is crowded with tiny crew figures, deck hatches, ventilation stacks, rigging lines, a tall central mast and curved awnings. The hull is solid with a flat underside and a pointed bow, so it stands steady on a shelf. A fine pick for a naval history display, a tabletop river battle or a classroom lesson on the American Civil War.
