A prehistoric giant salamander crawls low on four sprawling limbs. It has a broad flat skull with small eyes and nostrils, a long body covered in pebbled warty skin, and a thick tail that tapers to a rounded tip. Each foot has separate rounded toes, and the underside is textured with finer wrinkles and ridges.
