A root tip cutaway opens the end of a plant root to show its inner zones from the cap to the root hairs. The rounded root cap at the bottom is covered in large plated cells, small packed meristem cells sit just above it, and long stretched cells line the elongation zone beside a central vascular core. Fine root hairs branch from the upper surface. Realistic and neatly sculpted, it serves as a botany teaching model for plant growth and cross sections or a clear classroom display piece.
