Large nucleated blast cells with wrinkled surfaces press against smaller biconcave red blood cells, some seen face-on with their dimpled centers, and a few spiky, rough cells stand out among them. The tightly clustered arrangement shows how abnormal cells crowd out healthy ones. With no base, it rests flat as a hands-on teaching aid for hematology, biology and health science classes.
