Meet an ancient ocean hunter: a Pterygotus sea scorpion sculpted low and wide as if creeping across the seabed. Two long segmented claws reach forward ready to grab prey, while a broad ribbed carapace with small raised eyes covers the body. Paddle-like legs fan out along each side, and the banded abdomen tapers into a long pointed tail spike. Crisp segment lines give the whole creature a convincing armored look.
