Every scale stands out on this apistogramma dwarf cichlid, sculpted side-on with a tall comb-like dorsal fin of separate spiny rays. The body is covered in crisp overlapping scales, and the rounded tail and long pelvic fins show deep grooves along each ray. Small bumps dot the head around a large ringed eye and pouting mouth.
