Facing you head-on, this regal tang surgeonfish shows off its deep oval body, heavy-lidded eye and pouting lips. A long, finely ridged dorsal fin sweeps over the back, while slim pectoral fins flare to either side like wings, and a crescent tail sits behind. The tail spine that gives surgeonfish their name is modelled at the base of the tail.
