Streptomyces bacteria grow as branching filaments, and this model captures that mycelium network as a spreading, tree-like structure. Segmented hyphae split again and again into smaller branches, each section marked by a fine groove, with rounded, tapering filament tips at the ends. Smooth, tube-like strands give it an organic, coral-like look. It makes an unusual microbiology model for a biology classroom, a lab desk or a shelf of microbe displays, and it shows clearly how these soil bacteria spread.
