A classic Spitfire Mk V fighter plane sculpted with its famous elliptical wings and a three-blade propeller. The slim fuselage shows a framed canopy, exhaust stacks along the nose, panel lines, a radio mast behind the cockpit and the radiator scoop tucked under the wing. Landing gear is lowered with spoked wheels and a small tailwheel beneath the rounded fin. It makes a fine piece for a display shelf of World War II aircraft, a wargaming table or a history lesson on wartime aviation.
