A Spartan hoplite strides forward with his spear held upright and a broad round shield braced on his left arm. He wears a Corinthian helmet with narrow eye slits, a sculpted muscle cuirass, a pleated skirt of leather strips, shin greaves and strapped sandals. His bare arms are heavily muscled, and the fist on the spear shaft and the grip on the shield handle are cleanly sculpted. The miniature stands on its own two feet and suits ancient Greek wargames, mythology tabletop campaigns or a history display shelf.
