Ready to wade ashore, this Sherman DD swimming tank has its tall canvas flotation screen raised around the hull. The screen ends in a boat-shaped bow that tapers to a point. Above it sit the riveted turret with its 75mm gun, two hatches, a tall antenna, and support struts with stowed gear on the deck. Below, the tracks show sprockets, idlers and bogie suspension units. It suits Normandy landing tabletop battles, World War II wargaming tables and a display shelf of unusual armored vehicles.
