Crooked and weathered, this little wooden schoolhouse is a ready-made ruin for the tabletop. A pointed bell tower with an open belfry and a hanging bell rises from the shingled roof, which has a collapsed hole near the middle and slipped, broken shingles. The front gable carries a lettered SCHOOL sign above a columned porch with double doors and a short flight of steps. Tall pointed arched windows line the plank-sided walls, and leaning corner beams give the whole building a rickety, lived-in look. It suits a frontier village, a spooky town scene or a display shelf, and the solid base sits flat on the table.
