What this does

Drop a 3D Print STL File and it opens in the same clay studio view our catalogue uses: warm tan clay, soft shadows, an orthographic camera so sizes compare honestly. Drag to turn it, right-drag to pan, scroll to zoom, or jump to the front, side or top. The table beside it measures the model in millimetres and says whether the mesh is closed. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

About the formats

What the viewer measures
Triangles, size in millimetres, volume, how many separate shells, and whether every edge is shared by exactly two faces.
What the view buttons change
Only the camera and the light. The model itself is never moved, scaled or rewritten.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Nothing is uploaded. Your file is read in your browser and never leaves your computer. There is no upload step, no server copy and nothing kept afterwards, which is also why it works with the network switched off once the page has loaded.

How large a file can I use?

Up to 250 MB. The limit is your browser's memory rather than an upload size, because the file never goes anywhere; a file larger than that is refused with a message rather than crashing the tab.
