A Renaissance ornithopter flying machine with two broad feathered flapping wings built on a slender wooden lattice spar. The ribbed wing panels sweep outward on either side of a pilot cradle with a hanging foot bar and bracing struts, while a long boom carries a large fan-shaped tail of rounded feather segments. Pulleys, cords and small linkage parts fill the frame beneath the wings, and thin stabiliser rods rise from the wing tips. A separate pilot seat piece sits beside the cradle. It suits a display shelf, a history or engineering classroom, or a steampunk or Renaissance tabletop scene.
