Rising in five stacked tiers from a hexagonal base, this Chinese pagoda is topped with a ringed spire and a round finial. Every roof is covered in dense ribbed tiles and sweeps out to upturned corner eaves. Between the roofs, small railings, bracketed walls and recessed panels give each storey a carved look, and the underside shows layered rafters beneath the overhangs. The base is flat and solid, so it stands steadily as a display piece. It suits a fantasy village, a tabletop battlefield, a garden diorama or a shelf, and its tall slim outline makes a strong landmark among smaller buildings.
