Built on a long tracked chassis, this Soviet 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer carries a big rounded turret and a long 152mm gun. The barrel ends in a slotted muzzle brake, and a small commander cupola with a mounted machine gun sits on the turret roof. Hatches, stowage boxes, grab handles and riveted panels cover the hull, while six road wheels on each side sit under the track guards. It suits a Cold War wargame table as an artillery piece, or a shelf of armored vehicle models next to tanks and personnel carriers.
