VTK Vase Mode Cutter StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Cut Vessel Shaped Scan Data for Vase Mode
VTK files come from the Visualization Toolkit by Kitware, the library behind ParaView and 3D Slicer, and carry surfaces from simulations, medical scans and scientific data. A surface shaped like a vessel can go into the VTK Vase Mode Cutter, which finds its bottom footprint and highest single outline and cuts flat at both, capping each cut so the mesh stays closed. The output is a 3D Print STL File that slices in spiral vase mode in PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura or Orca Slicer. StarForge 3D Modeling Software turns research geometry toward 3D printing in the browser; nothing is uploaded.
