VTK files come from Kitware's Visualization Toolkit and the programs built on it, such as ParaView and 3D Slicer, holding surfaces from simulations, medical image segmentation and scientific data. The VTK to STL Converter reads the Visualization Toolkit mesh and writes a 3D Print STL File in the browser, free and with nothing uploaded. Scalar fields and other data arrays are dropped, leaving the surface. Anatomy models, flow geometry and research shapes become ready for 3D printing, inside StarForge 3D Modeling Software.
