Scientific visualizations made with the Visualization Toolkit look even better rendered in Blender, which reads Wavefront OBJ far more easily than VTK. The VTK to OBJ Converter rewrites a VTK surface as OBJ inside the browser, free and with nothing uploaded. Cells, organs, terrain and simulation results can then be lit, shaded and animated for papers and outreach. Attribute arrays do not transfer to OBJ. The same shape can be printed after all, saved as a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing in StarForge 3D Modeling Software.
