VRML Sundial Generator StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Latitude Matched Garden Dial as WRL
Full-colour 3D printers, older CAD exporters and classic web 3D viewers still accept the Virtual Reality Modeling Language behind .wrl files. The VRML Sundial Generator writes a horizontal garden sundial in it, set to a town chosen through OpenStreetMap place search, with a gnomon angled to that latitude and raised hour numbers on lines calculated from tan(angle) = sin(latitude) x tan(15 degrees x hours from noon). The size of the dial is typed. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also exports a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing a dial that reads true outdoors.
