Still a common way to send models to full-colour 3D printers and older 3D viewers, VRML, the Virtual Reality Modeling Language, lives in .wrl files. The VRML Moon Globe exports a relief globe from NASA LRO LOLA heights, or a Mars globe from NASA MGS MOLA data, with diameter and height stretch picked so the terrain of craters and highlands stands out. A 15 mm south pole flat lets it stand, and a ring stand is the second file. StarForge 3D Modeling Software also hands over a 3D Print STL File pair for 3D printing a planet display.
