VRML Flat Base Cutter StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Level the Base of KiCad and CAD Exports
Born on the 1990s web, the Virtual Reality Modeling Language lives on as .wrl files exported by KiCad for circuit boards, by some colour 3D printers and by older CAD packages. Turning one into a stable print starts with the VRML Flat Base Cutter, which reads the scene, closes open shells through Repair Fix Remesh, finds where the bottom becomes a solid footprint and previews the cut in 0.1 mm steps. Cut Base caps the slice flat. No file is uploaded, and StarForge 3D Modeling Software saves the geometry as a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing.
