Thicken VTK Walls StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Make Medical Scan Surfaces Thick Enough to Print
VTK (Visualization Toolkit) files come out of Kitware's scientific stack: ParaView, 3D Slicer for medical imaging and many simulation codes. A segmented bone, vessel or simulated surface exported as VTK can have walls far thinner than any nozzle. Thicken VTK Walls joins that surface into one piece and raises every wall to at least the set thickness, 1.2 mm by default, measured in millimetres. StarForge 3D Modeling Software uploads nothing, which suits research and patient data, and writes a 3D Print STL File for 3D printing.
