Thicken Scan Meshes So They Hold Together

Scans from Polycam, Artec Studio, MeshLab and other scanning and photogrammetry tools commonly arrive as PLY (Polygon File Format), the Stanford format that stores vertex colours and dense triangle meshes. Scan meshes of ears, petals or thin edges often measure below a printable wall. Thicken PLY Walls joins the scan into one surface and grows each wall to at least the set thickness, 1.2 mm by default. StarForge 3D Modeling Software keeps everything on the computer and writes a 3D Print STL File, ready for 3D printing a scanned object that holds together.
