Thicken DAE Walls StarForge 3D Modeling Software
Give SketchUp Faces Printable Depth
COLLADA Digital Asset Exchange files, saved as .dae, are XML scenes from the Khronos Group that SketchUp, older game pipelines and many model libraries still export. A SketchUp house or prop often has faces with no depth at all, which no slicer can print. Thicken DAE Walls joins the DAE geometry into one surface and gives each wall at least the thickness chosen, 1.2 mm by default. With nothing uploaded, StarForge 3D Modeling Software writes the repaired part as a 3D Print STL File ready for 3D printing.
