STEP, ISO 10303, is how a vase gets into Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Onshape for a lamp base, fixture or product mock-up built around it. The STEP Vase Maker writes the fluted vase as a faceted mesh in STEP, not an exact parametric CAD solid, so it measures and positions well but is not edited by features. Classic, Bottle, Bowl or Cylinder profiles take a chosen Height, number of Flutes and Twist. As a 3D Print STL File from StarForge 3D Modeling Software, the same shape is ready for 3D printing in vase mode, where the slicer makes the wall and floor.
